One look at their Instagram account says it all: @dogs_of_gnh is essentially a slideshow of the many well-dressed hipster pups that grace their huge beer garden every day. With good outdoor heating and lots of pooches to play with, this is basically doggy crèche with alcohol for the humans.

 

The Local Taphouse

St Kilda’s best-kept secret is perhaps the upstairs deck at The Local Taphouse which is actually dog- friendly. Not only do the security guards love patting your pup on the way in, but it’s not that well-known that this is a safe place for pooches so your dog will likely be lavished with all the attention from other bar-goers.
